SHINING 3D Achieves Industry-First Level 4 ISO 56005 Certification
SHINING 3D has made history as the first company in the 3D vision industry to achieve Level 4 (System-Level) certification under the ISO 56005 international standard for Innovation and Intellectual Property Management. This milestone underscores the company’s advanced, integrated approach to managing innovation and intellectual property (IP) across its entire business lifecycle.
ISO 56005, developed through international collaboration with China’s leadership, is the world’s first standard integrating IP management into innovation processes. It promotes strategic alignment between innovation, IP, and business goals to enhance efficiency, quality, and value creation. The certification is assessed across a five-level maturity model, with only 46 organizations in China reaching Level 4 and just three attaining the highest Level 5 (Ecosystem Level).
SHINING 3D’s achievement is built on over two decades of relentless R&D investment—averaging 20% of annual revenue for more than a decade. The company has assembled a team of over 500 engineers, nearly half with postgraduate degrees, supported by a national postdoctoral workstation, provincial research institute, and CNAS-accredited lab. By the end of 2025, it had secured 336 invention patents (including 78 international ones), 237 software copyrights, and 607 patent applications globally. It has also contributed to one national metrology specification, four national standards, and two industry standards.
The Level 4 certification validates SHINING 3D’s mature system for transforming innovation into market-driven value. Its technologies are now widely used in automotive, aviation, energy, electronics, and digital dentistry sectors, enabling customers to improve quality and reduce costs.
Looking ahead, the company will further strengthen the synergy between innovation and IP management, accelerating the real-world adoption of advanced 3D vision solutions and supporting the growth of high-quality manufacturing worldwide.
