What to Know About Olympic Cycling Falcon Project & the T°Red Team

The Olympic Cycling Falcon Project is a new project looking at the Paris 2024 Olympics and dedicated to the job of helping athletes to realize their dreams by technology innovation. To be specific, it includes a disruptive work on new materials, exclusive design and sustainable technology development. T°Red presents this project in the live broadcast at the Cariplo Factory in Milan on May 9, 2022. In the press presentation, the T°Red team also introduced one of the Falcon’s contributors Anycubic Kobra Max 3D printer.

Here is the video recording the story of the journey from the team’s project.

What Brings this Collaboration Opportunity

On the one hand, one of the biggest issues from the T°Red team when the project started was to find the best way to customize bike components for each cyclist and athlete, like gear, saddles etc. Specifically, it was important that touchable and rapid-prototyping 3D test models were needed. So they moved to Anycubic Kobra Max.

On the other hand, Anycubic is a reliable partner for the T°Red’s Team, because their 3D printers can save the producing cost and and upgrade the success in design. Not only is Anycubic Kobra Max mainly used by the team in the lab as a desktop FDM 3D printer, but also Anycubic Chiron is as well. And Anycubic felt so proud of these printers with an excellent performance for the models they made.

How Anycubic Kobra Max Settles the Issue

The key is the performance of the printer

  • Huge Printing Size – 400*400*450mm
  • High Printing Precision – Anycubic LeviQ auto-leveling
  • Rapid Printing Speed – max printing speed up to 180mm/s
  • Smart Printing Control – intelligent monitoring of filament feeding

“What fascinates me about this 3D-printed bike is that it has been the way to see, test, and try many different solutions. For some parts that need a larger printer to be printed, the Kobra Max has been the perfect choice to quickly create the particulars in our labs. After development and test in our laboratory and in the wind tunnel, we could print out the final parts in metal additive manufacturing (Scalmalloy® or Titanium). For us, it is essential to use rapid tools, the automatic printed calibration system. for example, it allows you to be immediately operational and have precision in executing even substantial pieces.”– Romolo Stanco, one of the most innovative and “technological” designers and scientists in Europe and also the designer of the T°Red’s bike team.

We Always Believe in Future

The contribution of Anycubic Kobra Max 3D printer in the T°Red’s Olympic Cycling Falcon Project showed that 3D printing being applied was born on track to magnify passion on every terrain in the cycling field. Let’s jump outside the box. Anycubic, as one part of 3D industry, always believe that the innovation of 3D technology in future can drive an industrial transformation and have broad prospects, once it is successfully integrated into any other field. Time will prove everything.
